Antox 75 E Extra

Cleaning solution for alloyed stainless steels and for pickling aluminium.

Compliant with the Kraftwerk Union (KWU) requirements for use in nuclear power engineering.

Scope of application

Removing oxides of contaminant materials and carbon steel deposits from stainless steel surfaces, and evening out the appearance of surfaces.
Pickling weld seams and aluminium surfaces, removing contaminants before and after welding, evening out surface appearance.

Application

Read safety instructions before use. Stir Antox 75 E Extra well. Apply using a brush, spray bottle or spraying device or by dipping. Treatment time is 15–60 minutes for stainless steels, 5–15 minutes for aluminium. Rinse with min. 12 MPa pressure water, or dip a part in water while mechanically cleaning it with a stainless steel or plastic brush or sponge. Keep rinsing until the pickled surface and rinse water are pH neutral.

Waste water disposal

Since rinse waste water is acidic and contains heavy metals, it must be collected. The collected rinse water must be disposed of ecologically. Either use own waste water treatment plant (consult the plant operator) or engage a specialized company to dispose of it.

Caution

Antox 75 E Extra contains nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. The product label contains instructions to be adhered to. Further information is in a safety data list and is available on demand. Persons must wear a face mask with acid vapour filters, protective suit and gloves.

1 kg of Antox 75 E can treat an area of 20–25 m².

FIRST AID INSTRUCTIONS:

General instructions: Immediately remove clothing contaminated with the product. Do not remove the respirator mask until contaminated clothing is removed.
If inhaled: Transport the person to a place with fresh air. If the person is unconscious, place them into the recovery position, seek medical help.
In the event of skin contact: Immediately wash the affected area with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Immediately apply Calcium Gluconate 400 solution or gel.
In the event of eye contact: Rinse out the eye with the eyelid open for several minutes using running water, seek medical help.
If swallowed:  Do not induce vomiting, call in a doctor immediately. Drink plenty of water and get fresh air. Call in a doctor immediately.
